I spend a lot of time alone. And sometimes I have felt lonely, but NEVER like this last solo backpacking trip to Stoney Ridge lake. In the last couple of years, a large portion of people I knew, have passed on, people I loved. For some reason, I experienced the most intense loneliness I have ever felt. It was painful, and I couldnt understand why I was suffering so much at the moment. Maybe it is just so many now, or that I am getting old. I was also grieving for friends that are around my age, who have become so unhealthy, they would not be able to put a pack on for 5 minutes. I was able to always feel better after someone passed, feeling as if they are still here, or I would see them again sometime. But that was not working at all for the last few days. I miss being young and strong, I miss my lovely friends hearts, and I miss so much, just spending time around them. Happy for the pain, as it reveals the true love, happy to hurt, to have loved...
