I spent a day volunteering with the Florida Baptist Disaster - TopicsExpress

I spent a day volunteering with the Florida Baptist Disaster Relief Team assisting with some of the many remaining homes yet to be attended to since the flood in Warren and some surrounding areas. I took in a foot of water myself so I have not been able to get out there until today and Ive been working steady to get elected as well. I worked with crew members from Florida, West Virginia, Alabama (There were others), and locally as far up as Saginaw, all of them here in Warren to do Gods work,( these guys are true missionaries), all volunteers, and I wish you could have been there to see the literal tears of joy from residents because somebody finally got to them. I post this only to tip my hat to some of Gods best, and their families back home, and to thank them publicly for their generous sacrifices. A giant thank you as well to Warren Councilwoman Kelly Colegio for being so instrumental in coordinating the various relief (Church) groups on behalf of flood victims, and spending so much of her personal time (From day 1) with the relief efforts all over Warren. Lastly, I;m honored to receive the endorsement of Kelly for Macomb County Commissioner, God Bless her, shes made for the big jobs and she gets them done, thank you again, help is on the way!
