I spent time in the presence of Father God this morning, and prayed for my professor and fellow seminary students at Rockbridge. I learned yesterday the Rockbridge has been accredited. Praise God! Then I read chapters 6-10 of Joshua. Joshua begins the conquest of the Promised Land with Jericho, and then Ai. In chapter 10 Joshua leads the nation of Israel against the five kings of the Amorites. It is a day of great deliverance and to ensure a greater victory God cause the sun to stand still “for about a whole day” Joshua 10:12-13. God did not allow the rout of the Amorites to be interrupted by the fall of night. The Scriptures declare, “There was no day like that before it or after it, when the Lord listened to the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel” Joshua 10:14. When we commit ourselves to the will of God, He commits Himself to its fulfillment.
