I spent today doing lock repairs. All of them were worn frizzens. EVERY SINGLE ONE of them had either the wrong sized flint in it or I could tell by the wear marks that the person had been using the wrong sized flint. What is so hard about simply following the directions and using the correct size flint as spelled out in the owners manual? You wouldnt put diesel in your gasoline powered car...you wouldnt try to shoot .22lr ammo in a 12 ga shotgun...you dont push when the door says pull...so why on earth do people insist on damaging their frizzens by using the wrong sized flint ESPECIALLY when the manual states EXACTLY what sized flint to use? The kicker is that people then send the locks that they mess up by refusing to follow the directions in for me to fix under the warranty. On top of that, before they send it in, half the time they have some wannabe blacksmith or whatever attempt to harden the frizzen (you know, the one they ruined by using THE WRONG SIZED FLINT) and mess it up even worse. I can tell when a wannabe has messed with a frizzen because of the colors it turns when it is done wrong. If I messed up an item through my own stupidity, I wouldnt dream of expecting the manufacturer to fix it for free. It baffles me when people expect ME to foot the bill for their refusal to follow the directions that came with their gun. In case people need a refresher, please look at tihs picture comparing two flint sizes...the right one and the wrong one SIZE DOES MATTER!!! https://facebook/336355644598/photos/pb.336355644598.-2207520000.1410822844./10152123500294599/?type=1
