I started following this Hormone Diet plan a week and a half ago because I am in pre-menopause and my weight would vary like 5-8 lbs A DAY because of my hormones. One day all my clothes fit, the next I was hanging out all over from bloat. The book is a MESS organizationally but it has made a world of difference so far. The theory isnt too far off from strict paleo but there are some interesting things like 1 serving of soy a day, an apple a day, and a minimum amount of protein and fiber. Its much more prescriptive towards regulating hormones. She recommends supplements which I only take a probiotic but they arent required. So far my weight has not fluctuated, in fact, Im losing weight. No bloating. No aches and pains. Much fewer headaches. Before I was pretty much following paleo but I did eat dairy. The book isnt just for people in menopause, its for anyone who thinks their hormones are out of whack. Anyhow, just sharing where I am at right now.
