I started working at Nanaimo Seniors Village a couple of months ago. I serve meals to the residents, the majority of the people on the wing I work on have dementia or some form of memory impairment. After a few weeks of working and playing 1 of the 5 cds available on the wing and always turning off the local radio station music of popular country, pop or rock. I decided to download music that was more suited to the residents likes and eras. For a few weeks now, when Im on. So is their music. What have I found? People are telling me what they remember, who they remember and singing and dancing. So today.. as Im downloading more music for these amazing people, I find this on Netflix. youtu.be/IaB5Egej0TQ I dont make a ton of money.. but trust me. To see the residents sing, dance, laugh and remember.. wow. Payment enough.
