I stayed up late last night to watch Jimmy Fallons final show. I was jazzed to hear the Muppets would be performing (because Animal is my hero). But I wasnt expecting their performance to put me near tears... From the opening notes by Janice on lead guitar - it became clear they were doing The Weight... but then the camera panned right, and there was Jimmy Fallon sitting with a Levon Helm-like posture behind a beautiful old Levon Helm-like Ludwig kit and started singing I pulled into Nazareth, was feelin about half past dead... What a great moment... it tore me up. Then when the chorus came around, my man Animal chimed in maniacally with the final AAAND! Thats when I lost it.
