I stopped down to my new friends home, the Amish neighbor who asked me to paint the trinket jar for her baby. I remembered I asked her if she hand made anything that could be put in my future big store and she said she really didnt make anything except her families own clothes. I have a quilt, not hand made, but beautiful none the less, that my folks gave me a long time ago. Stupid me put it in the washer and it came apart in places. I asked if she would be interested in a trade. Painting the trinket jar for fixing the quilt. She said she would look at it and see what she could do. Ill post a pic of the trinket jar when I get it done. Ive decided on hours for the mini store. Saturdays from 9 AM-2 PM and Sundays from 10 AM-5 PM or by appointment, starting Saturday November 23 rd. Im getting absolutely pummeled with art work orders, it happens every year and I love it. Being open on weekends will allow me to keep up with orders during the week, clean the house for tours and put new things in the mini store every week. Books will be available as well. Its very windy here tonight. High wind warnings and yet I hear the familiar clip clop, clip clop of the young Amish courting on their Sunday night. Hope they are careful. Awww, kids. Looking back to a year ago right now, I cant get over how far weve come. All our horses and hay werent here yet. We had no stove hooked up. The barn was yet to cave and almost kill someone. No tractor. We were still feeling shell shocked from everything. Life feels like its turned so right side up since then. Feels good.
