I strongly disagree with this author on some implications and agree on others. Comparison, whether to assume/judge as the author does here, that ones lifestyle comes from bad financial decisions or to just be envious of their lifestyle in general is wrong. Like he says No amount of stuff will make you happy. But neither will writing it off by judging that those people have done it by making bad decisions. I find our society tends to judge people as materialistic who live just a little bit better than them. Newsflash, that mortgaged new Camry may be more materialistic than your neighbors paid for Benz. Many times they simply have higher incomes. We all have 24 hours in a day and the decisions we make, work ethic we have, and professions we choose monetary value in our society dictate our income. If you want more income step out and go get it. Nothing wrong with that. But, as long as basic needs are met, if you cant be happy with what you have, you wont be happy with more. daveramsey/blog/6-stages-of-facebook-envy
