I struggle and my life itself is a struggle everyday just like - TopicsExpress

I struggle and my life itself is a struggle everyday just like everyone else’s. But, I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a wicked man; but I obtained mercy... And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me Jesus Christ might show His patience, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended. My life is far from perfect. It is a struggle everyday just like everyone else’s. My life is far from perfect, just as I am far from perfect. But one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. But I have made a choice to strive, with Christ’s help and strength, to heed what the admonition God’s Word gives when He says: “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Dont worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience Gods peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now…one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and receive from Biblical teaching. Then the God of peace will be with you.” (Paraphrased)
