I struggle to deal with a lot of sports or even just entertainment/entertainers at the moment. And everybody knows how much I love(d) sports :-) Where I am losing faith is, a lot of superstars think they are a God given commodity to the world or are Godly-like, so take for granted those that support them and make their career even possible. Instead, they feel their profile is justified or that it should be even greater. They distance themselves from the people who put them there, and then for some of them, find their egos excusing them to break the law and physically and mentally hurt others in the community. They seek a lifetime worth of money in only a couple of years worth of work, and demand that money because they dont want to have a real job like the rest of us when their careers end, yet, we as fans tolerate their attitude and shower them with gifts, opportunities and money. Granted, at least in rugby like games, the injuries players can get can ensure there is hardly any professions left for them later in life, but that never stopped Christopher Reeve, did it..???? It is refreshing that JT always has time for the kids of the game. I am not saying he is perfect, and I acknowledge he has take quite a lot of money (on average) from the game, but I wish entertainers could do more for the world, and not just because kindness and charitable things are good for their profile, and thus, more praise and endor$ements. To brag about ones own charity or humbleness contradicts it, and instead, shows selfishness anyway. It would appear to me that JT could not care less about his charity stuff making the news. It took channel nine and fox sports like 10 years to notice that he picks up his kicking tee for the ball boy after his goal conversions. Keep up the good work JT! As great as you are on the field, that does not keep me a fan of the game anymore. It is what you are doing with your profile that keeps me interested when I otherwise really feeling like boycotting all entertainment (movies, dramas, sports, music etc).
