I swear, it was the most beautiful summer evening imaginable. - TopicsExpress

I swear, it was the most beautiful summer evening imaginable. Just as the sun nestled its way into hiding, and the final lingering notes picked from the strings of a guitar faded, Grandma Roscoe passed on. As Chase and I played, and people of all walks celebrated life and love, and friendship (all things Grandma loved)--perfection in an evening to the sound of blues fest on the campus of St. Johns Nursing home, it couldnt have been more fitting. Grandma Roscoe left her mark; that is the understatement of a lifetime. What she passed on to her eighteen Grandchildren and twenty nine Great Grandchildren is something I honestly dont believe can be described, only known and felt by those who loved her and were close to her. Ninety six years, Grandma. What a life. And in those last three you helped and guided one humble guy to find his way, not knowing or understanding the impact you were making, and certainly not expecting anything in return. I respect and appreciate what you did and who you were to me and everyone who was lucky enough to know you more than youll ever know. I love ya. Rest peacefully, Grandma. P.S.----Here are the pictures from that night, you know, in case youre looking down on my Facebook page. 😉
