I take back my earlier observation regarding Windows 8. Like many other Microsoft OS, they threw this one out before working out all of the bugs. At least you can refresh the whole system without uninstalling the OS to correct the problems it creates. Hopefully, 8.1 will resolve all of the issues & problems 8 creates. There is freeware called "Start 8". You can get it from the CNET site. It will bring back the start button & desktop from Windows 7, if you still feel disoriented with the Windows 8 tiles. 8.1 is supposed to bring back the start button, along with other Windows 7 features. Microsoft pissed off a lot of people trying to force feed a new way of using your computer on everyone. It is no small wonder that sales of desktops are down & tablets are up. Windows 8 basically converts your computer into a giant tablet.
