I take heart that many people of faith are acknowledging a need to repent of our individual and collective neglect of protecting our environment/Gods creation... That we have failed to meet the Judeo/Christian Biblical mandate to care for the earth (Gen. 1:28), that we are poisoning our air and water and plants (e.g., with fossil fuel pollution, and with toxic pesticides; both of which can be stopped and replaced with healthy alternatives). Secular scientists, like David Suzuki, are asking Canadian citizens and Canadian leaders to formally recognize the basic human right to live in a healthy environment (see the excellent short film on this subject at the link below). All of us... People of faith, people with no formal faith, all citizens of the world need to join together to advocate for a healthy environment.
