I think I had a mini panic attack at work this morning, but I’m - TopicsExpress

I think I had a mini panic attack at work this morning, but I’m home now with a glass of wine and feeling much better. Unexpectedly, my new book, The Tear Collectors, published way earlier than anticipated, which is great because now all my readers get to enjoy it that much sooner! Its such a bizarre feeling – to let go of something that youve lived with and breathed for two years. It’s kind of like someone getting ahold of your diary and reading all of your innermost thoughts. A couple things… The cover. Yes, it’s jarring, but I’ve never been one to play it safe. When you read the book, it’ll become apparent why the cover is what it is. I wanted something so unrelenting that it snatches your attention and doesn’t let it go. Farrah, one of the main characters, has an eating disorder, and the transformation her body goes through is one of the strongest visuals in the story. So, voilà! Several of you have asked me if it will be available as an ebook. It will, but not till next month. I’m still a strong advocate that books should be physical objects and held in one’s hand to enjoy. For the setting, I relied heavily on Upstate NY, which is where I’m from. For my friends and family there, this will be a real treat. Crystal Lake takes center stage! The lake represents the best memories of my childhood, and in a way, this is a love letter to that time period. I hope I did it justice. Lastly, thank you so much for all the support today! I am floored, humbled beyond belief!
