I think I should become a military contractor. The $9 initial budget has gone up 400%! I had three screens to replace on my old crappy backyard deck. 3. Did one. It lasted through a tornado just fine. Second one. Wood rot. Geez. My simple project now includes restorative carpentry, and me on the roof in 85F heat. Went to Chase Lumber in Sun Prairie. Just awful service. Saw three guys who pointed in a direction. Then nobody there. Home Depot in Madison, had the right wood at a great price. Fit in two pieces. More rotten wood turned up. Will need to buy more wood. Cmon. So far the project has cost $37 and two gallons of sweat.Oh yes, went to Habitat for Humanity store and got a good screen door for $15! So add that to the list.
