I think I took the baby step I took in the wrong direction last week, back in the right direction again. Ive been eating better again last night and I even played a little with Herman again. Only snuggled on the bed this morning, but Herman was with the human when she fell asleep. This morning all three if us were on the bed with the human again for a short while, and you know by now how she loves that. Herman and I were together on one side of the human, and Dushi lay on her chest. Jinxs sleepy head appeared from the shed as soon as the human opened the back door this morning. He enjoyed his breakfast in the kitchen as usual. He really loves those kibbles the human got from a friend last week. He had a bowl with those kibbles, and one with the kibbles he was used to in the shed and the new kibbles are all gone, while the old ones are hardly touched. The human mixed them now. When these new ones are gone, Jinx will have to get used to the old ones again. He probably wont like that, but he doesnt get a choice. So its better the human mixed both kind of kibbles now. Then the transition wont be too hard when the new kibbles are all gone. And when the human mixes both kind of kibbles, the yummier ones last longer too. After the human finished her own breakfast, I sat in front of her on the floor and stared at her. I always get my butter after she had her breakfast, so I knew it was time. And yes, she started mixing the L-Lysine, and now the new powder from the vet too, with the butter and I got my treat. Herman gets to lick the little spoon the human mixes the stuff with. He really likes butter too and when he gets to lick the spoon, he wont try to get to my butter. You know how I preferred Hermans kibbles since I got sick. The human let me eat them, cause I better eat those than nothing, but there was a bowl of my own kibbles and a bowl with a mix of both kibbles available all the time too. The past few days I seemed to like the mixed kibbles better. The human is very pleased with that, cause its a step towards eating my own kibbles again. I still eat Hermans kibbles too and the human hasnt seen me eat just my own kibbles for weeks now, but its ok. When Im all better (and I hope that will be soon now, cause Ive had it with being sick), the human will slowly let me make the transition to my own kibbles again. Im under the cat tree right now, but not in the farthest, darkest corner where I hid yesterday. I lie on the bottom, where I lie more often, and thats ok. Herman is leaving me be and taking a catnap in the hammock. And Dushi is napping on the cupboard. Its Dushis day to go to work today, but the human never lets her out when she herself has to go away, and she will this afternoon. She also doesnt want to let Dushi out when the strange men are working here next week, cause Dushi might be too scared to come home then, and we dont want that. So Dushi will get to go to work tomorrow, on the last day before the men return, and then not anymore till the men are gone again. I hope that wont be very long, and not just for Dushi. And thats it for now. The human will leave the house in less than an hour and shell stay away for a couple of hours. I will be posting like normal in the evening and Ill probably nap a lot when the human is gone. Wish you all a nice day too. Nijmegen, The Netherlands, 12:06 am
