I think Politicians and diapers should be changed frequently and all for the same reason. Have been in deep thought on how 60 year old politician from Luo land would hire goons and quacks to heckle one of the most development conscious leaders in the history of Gusii land. I am talking of a none other than legedally, Professor Sam Ongeri. It’s with a lot of shame that these eyesore happened in a burial ceremony where people within the precinct of Kisii county had lost their loved ones through one of the most tragic road accident. Mr Odinga is this the time to show animosity from the leader who never supported your failed presidential bid? Why do you think your political lifestyle is moral important than the lives of children, teachers and people of this county. Instead taking condolescence to the bereaved family you took your infamous hate speeches, hooliganism and sycophancy aid at adding more pain to these people. I do not want to say much your God will judge u if at all you did wrong, I can’t’ judge you because its endless but Bwana Raila all of us who are concerned for peace and triumph of reason and justice must be keenly aware how small an influence reason and honest good will exert upon events in the political field. We well understand that under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right but you took it too far- in a burial ceremony. There are many men of principle in all parties in Kenya, but from this very experience cord is not a party of principle. If at all there is I don’t know, no one has come forward to discredit this bizarre. The idea that you can merchandise candidates for high office like breakfast cereal - that you can gather votes like box top is the ultimate indignity to the people of Kenya. Our incumbent president and all his supporters you are trying to diagnose politically are some sort of intellectuals, and real democrats. To the hired group (am sure from Nyanza), politics is supposed to be the second-oldest game/profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first and therefore important in our life but politicians are the same; they promise to build a bridge even where there is no river. They are the people who see the light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnels. Conservative is one who admires radicals centuries after they are dead, just like how Raila is playing it. Their policy make no change and consult your grandmother when in doubt. I referring this to Raila’s comment on historical Kisii leader who he alleged to have been iconic to him, but why not current Ongeri who has come from their descendants? American Philosopher P.J O Rourke said,” The democrats are the party that says the government will make you smarter, taller, richer and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The republican are the party that says government doesn’t work and then get elected and prove it”. So, the mankind will never see an end of the trouble until, lovers of wisdom come to hold political power or the holder of powers become lovers of wisdom. I believe we live in a world in which politics has replaced philosophy. Let show maturity by refraining from being used by politicians to exercise foolishness in their political rallies and in particulars burial ones.
