I think a lot of people keep forgetting that you cant plagiarize without penalty, I know plagiarism is common in Nigeria without repercussions, movie scripts based on movies made abroad, hit music with beats from international superstar, we have read gossip/advice columns in magazines which were copied from international magazines without credit given or royalty paid, so why is Linda Ikeji Different? Her case came to light because the person reporting her isnt based in Nigeria and knows the law in America regarding plagiarism and he used it to his advantage and her blog was shut down. I am not going to lie and say put down syndrome wasnt at play but if Linda had played by the rule and protected herself and her business, she wont be in this mess. I hope she uses this mess to teach her readers about plagiarism and it consequences, how to properly do business, how to digitally protect your business. You never want to give anyone power to destroy you. Another thing I noticed was that she acknowledged plagiarizing but not remorseful and apologetic about it, seemed like she was even rubbing in their faces. When you make a mistake, acknowledge your mistakes, correct your mistakes and avoid making the same mistake again if possible teach others. I am a big fan of Linda Ikeji and the little I know about her is that she is resilient and cant be knocked down, I know she will come back better. Please Linda no more showcasing of your wealth. Before you accuse anyone of bring me down syndrome, check yourself out If this was America, one school would have a media class in honor of her and experts educating the public about blogging, social media etc. Peace
