I think all schools should have a garden and canning/ dehydrating/freezing ability! Even a green house. Younger kids can water/ pick garden/greenhouse and older kids can take homeck and do the other half of the process. Also make their own compost! This would be used in their lunches at school. Would save so much money and I think kids would enjoy eating healthier food! Plant veggies, fruit bushes, and fruit trees.. harvest season starts about the time school gets going and planting season right before school ends.
