I think an important point I have yet to see made about things wrong with the Quebec charter of values is that it is a way of shaming women, by virtue of their belief system, out of appearing in the public realm. Its not in accordance with feminist values to prevent women from going to work. I cant speak for others, but if I was told I would have to change how I dressed in order to be accepted in society, I would feel shamed and rejected.
