I think back when I was going through the process of recording this album The Sinners Hope... It was an interesting time. It was only supposed to have 4 songs on it Jesus, Your grace, Psalm 147, Abide and In need of You but as we were wrapping it up I wrote 3 additional songs I need a Savior, For Your Glory, and Love found a Way.... (Im willing to bet that Casey Combest wanted to ring my neck.) we pushed to get those songs recorded as fast as possible and then in the middle of that I asked my high school sweetheart of 6 years to marry me! This obviously threw a bit of monkey wrench in my plans for the album so I put it off until after the honey moon. It was just shy of a year later when I completed the album. I say all of that to say that I did not write The Sinners Hope because I like music. I didnt write it because it was a dream of mine. I didnt write it because I wanted a spot on the itunes top 10 list (HA!) but I wrote it from an overflowing joyful heart. Songs that sing of what Christ has done for His people and not about what WE are going to for God. It is written by a sinner whom Christ bestowed and lavished His mercy on and lifted from the depth of complete depravity. That, My friends, is ineffable.
