I think everyone is pretty clear on my religious beliefs, that being said, a high school dance is hardly the place to push political views. Its sad that Vincennes will now be known for only allowing traditional couples. Can we all be a little more loving please? Who is it going to hurt if a non traditional couple wants to attend a dance together?! No one, except maybe a fews pride. And to my fellow Christians who are proudly supporting the boards decision I challenge you this: what is a better witness, to blast your views on Facebook and be seen as intolerant or, to be compassionate to the youth of our city despite if their views differ from your own. Youth already face so much adversity, lets not add to that. So cast your stones, but I for one have no right to even pick the stone up. Let Vincennes be known for something other than a politically controversial New Years Eve ball, the world has much larger problems. Weve wasted more breath on a school dance than world hunger. If youre going to fight for something make it something that matters, not trying to keep two teens from attending a dance together because it offends you.
