I think it is time that we acknowledge that every time we go into the grocery store chains that we are literally taking our health and the lives of our and health of our families into our hands. We have to realize the those processed foods in the boxes, in the cans and in the meat section are toxic. The manager of one of the local stores tell me that he knew that over 80% of everything in his store was injurious to our health! We buy flour that has been bleached, the bran removed leaving nothing of real value and in its place a substance than causes health problems and even death! No vitamin content! Allergies, autism, arthritis and numerous other health issues evolve and cripple us. Add in the extreme use of industrial fertilizers, and extremely dangerous pesticides and also the fact that the seeds are genetically modified organisms and the road ahead is dark indeed. The soil is depleted by modern farming techniques. But, we can take control of all of this! We can grow our own, share with others, work with our local organic farmers and take our health and our future back from this abyss. This is one road we can travel together, learn from each other and share the work to build a sustainable future for the world and humanity! OccuGardens Savannah Albert
