I think its a shame how modern MMA fans cant name the greats of the past. Sure they may not have been in MMA, but they dominated in sports that helped make MMA what it was. https://youtube/watch?v=SfDDXpjFtP0#t=69 I understand if someone who claim to be a casual fight fan doesnt know this guy but until today Ive never seen a wrestler who couldnt identify this man. Until today, in fact, half the college freshmans team had no idea who he was. If you pit his stats in his sport against ANY legend in any other sport he puts them to shame. The most intesting thing against Mr. Karelin was he never claimed to have natural talent. but rather than he was merely a product of his work ethic. Guy has a good life now, and has been declared a Russian national treasure. But for a guy who not only went undefeated for years, he never had a point scored on him while competing at the sports highest level.
