I think its about time I state my opinion once again. I know I will catch shit for this. The United States military is the most glorified and over-funded terrorist organization to ever exist. I once indulged in the notion that the United States military is the greatest thing about this nation and that it takes courage to serve. The fact remains, it does take a lot of balls to serve a government that doesnt give a shit about you. I was once a part of this organization and have decided that my decision to serve was a mistake. A mistake yes, but not a regret. I wouldnt be the person I am today. I dont care that I served anymore. I no longer support the military in its entirety, but only those with whom I have a connection. I support the Soldier that realizes it was a mistake to enlist. You will no longer catch me playing the veteran card in instances where I may gain respect or some materialistic perk. I will no longer indulge in the idea that the military actually does anything to protect freedoms if the government has them fighting in pointless wars. I accept that the military has brainwashed its troops into thinking theyre working towards the greater good, but have been shown the illusion that conceals the bullshit capitalist agenda. What would I like? I would like for so much of our money to not be spoon-fed to penis envy cunts, but to go towards education and healthcare. I want it to go towards helping citizens do more than just get by. So, as I said, I do not support the military anymore. I dont hate it, but it sure as shit doesnt deserve my respect because any idiot can sign a dotted-line. I respect the person trying to change their life for the better by enlisting. I respect the parent who wants join to ensure their children are taken care of. I do not respect the idiot who wants to serve a government that doesnt give a shit about its people.
