I think its absolutely appalling that government officials are so concerned to highlight public safety on rail, sea and air, but fail to highlight the hazards of traveling on public transport on the roads. Watching pictures of trees landing on a double decker bus and scaffolding down on the roads shows the dangers that are on the roads. The big difference, is that the responsibility is all left to the driver. RMT union was the only union to highlight this, where was the other unions representing their members?
