I think its interesting that social media has now turned things around their app is not the product any more. WE are their product. They want you know who we know and who we talk to and who we email and what we buy and where we visit online. That way with their data mining they can reach out to us with more products and services. Thats why I wholeheartedly objected to the facebook messenger app. They ask you to agree to absurd things that you are allowing them to view your emails, call logs and places you visit on the web. They know what apps you are using and how to target market anything to you. You are being data mined. To put it bluntly, your are being targeted. If you dont believe me, go to a website and shop for shoes or books or CDs or anything. You dont even have to buy anything and then suddenly the ads will show up in your facebook or similar products. Big brother is watching. Id consider leaving if I wasnt getting so much out of this experience. I am in forums that are industry specific and I can network with people all around the world who have common interests. Thats hard to replace, but Im being careful, and so should you. Uninstall Facebook messenger app from your phone right away. It is ridiculously intrusive and you are allowing a company to violate your own rights. If you want to find out more, then just simply google facebook Messenger app complaints, or go to the app store and look for facebook Messenger and look at all the complaints. Be careful. Google is doing this to you too. So is Yahoo and Bing and all the rest.
