I think one of the major benefits we have at Siteman Cancer Center is a multidisciplinary approach, said surgeon Matthew Mutch, MD. Mutchs patient Gene Smiley Leuckel benefited from that approach. After a successful surgery to remove a malignant polyp, Leuckel had a local recurrence. He then was able to undergo chemotherapy and radiation to treat the recurrence. Im healthy again, Leuckel said.
