I think people use the word “faith” too lightly. Faith is a powerful gift from God that can, alone, make miracles happen. All it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains. To let go and let God is complete faith that He will do what is meant to be done. It’s hard, to just let go… but I know that He can do things that I cannot. That His will is different than my wishes. His plan is not the same as mine. I am letting go & I am letting God. I have complete faith that He will make miracles happen. Here’s the information… Most of you know that my dad was fighting a battle with Stage 4 cancer since last January. (This is all after a very rough relationship we have had my entire life & my decision to forgive & start over) His cancer was in his lymph nodes and throat. Being in his lymph nodes, it spread. After several hours of radiation & chemo, he could no longer work and lost all of his physical strength, not easy for a man who’s always been a hard worker. He could not eat, had a feeding tube in and lost about 60lbs. But… prayer is a powerful thing and he pulled through. The cancer was gone… well until the biopsy showed a mass behind his esophagus. After more research & investigation, this mass has turned into 4 tumors around his esophagus. Stage 4 again and of a very rare cancer, one these doctors have never witnessed. Chemo is not an option since he still has not fully recovered, but they are willing to give his radiation & start a new treatment, which is just that, NEW. This treatment is still in progress. BUT there are options. It’s not over! There is hope and I have faith!! We all know how powerful prayer is and that’s all I’m asking of everyone. Please take a minute and pray for my dad. He isn’t even sure if he’s going to go through with this treatment. He’s wondering if maybe it’s a better decision to just live the life he has now and enjoy it. I am praying for his strength to make the best decision. No matter what he decides, I will stand by his side but I am also praying for understanding from everyone regardless of which way he decides to go. I have FAITH that God will do what He has planned and everyone finds peace in this situation… somehow.
