I think that as people of color, having seen many people doing well one minute and then seeing life take over and the next minute they are down and out, we should know better than to brag and boast about every little thing we get or accomplish. We know the old saying the lord giveth and the lord taketh away. I understand the you are not use to having much but material things are nothing. They do not make us better fathers, brothers, sisters, mothers, son or daughters! Success is a relative idea, it depends on your own idea of what success is. And I will tell you right now....I could be making a million dollars a year and living in a mansion... but if my brother doing bad..Im doing bad!! I would never eat in front of my sister and watch her starve!! Real success is being willing and able to do for others! You are only as important as what the people who love you think of you! And if you are going to brag on something make sure that it is something you cannot lose! Like Lauren Hill said Its not about what you cop it about what you keep!! And like John Clemons says before you wipe your ass... make sure that theres no more shit coming if you dont its just a waist of tissue!!!God Bless those who are not yet where they are striving to go!
