I think the construct of spiritual bypassing is not being reflected well enough in the integral community. It often becomes simply another one of evaluative labels that are sometimes overused. I tend to think think that in some cases there can be adaptive value for the self in behaviors that appear to others as spiritual bypassing. It is indeed an important construct that we need to discuss in numerous nuances of its appearance. It is at the same time a poor label if we overuse it collectively, without identifying what is meant in each instance.
