I think the over the road truck driver is the only person who gets paid less as the job gets more and more dangerous. being paid by the mile when we reduce our speed due to adverse conditions we can quickly cut our pay and half but we are still expected to have on time delivery. we get paid nothing to chain up our tires and we get paid absolutely nothing for waiting out a winter storm. but I truly think that the most dangerous part of our job is the other motorist. winter is upon us please reduce your speed increase your following distance and start stopping sooner.. you have those trucks lots of room even if you have the right of way they have the right of way weight. you might be in the right you might be dead right...
