I think this represents a very important question. The interesting question is the notion that love makes us irrational. It is precisely because love represents something that is outside the box of our preconceptions, we like to think of it as irrational. But whenever you think that way, remember that what is supra-rational also appears as irrational. Irrational is anything that is not rational so far as we know, and we know very little, so love will always be to some degree irrational because it is supra-rational. Often those supra-rational forces are not realized, people get used to each other and they forget to have awe for each other, and the energy goes where the recognition is, because love is supra-rational. And the conclusion is that the love is to blame for the failure, and is therefore irrational, when the failure lies in how we honour the love, not in the love itself. There is no question in my mind that love goes for love, and leaves where love is no longer love. People know intuitively what it feels like to live, to become more than you are through a love that is bigger than you. Love is not falsehood winning, love is the truth winning. When the truth loses, love goes somewhere else. Love is drawn to the light of consciousness, it is not drawn to the coldness of isolation, or the coldness of domination, it is drawn to the warmth of recognition, the warmth of compassion, the warmth of co-creation. When people get used to each other and are no longer amazed by each other, love goes somewhere else. sbs.au/news/article/2015/01/11/what-if-purpose-love-get-us-out-relationships-not-them
