I think this was very well written as the Empress although to some were ruthless, actually she knew how to use her male subjects and in order to use them, she had to understand them and and soon after the six Deputy Generals knelt to kow tow to the Empress, she asked them to describe to her about themselves and how they got to be under the command of the General. For one, the Empress had got to know a little these Deputy Generals and then from them, the Empress could extract certain information from them about her beloved General! And as the Empress arrived, since the head eunuch and his assistant eunuch were there already and so the Empress sent the female courtiers back as there was no need for their presence. As the Empress walked herself to the golden yellow satin covered table, after the Empress sat comfortably on the satin cushioned chair, the six Deputy Generals then immediately knelt and kow tow to the Empress to greet the Empress good morning as they chanted, Your humble servants wish your Majesty a good and healthy morning! before all sank their foreheads on the marble floor before the Empress. And since it was supposed to be a happy event and while the six Deputy General might or might not know, they thought the Empress might have found something wrong in them and so they all have their heads all bow down waiting for the Empress to speak. While the Empress would eventually asked them to stand back up, but she wanted to play a game, and so she said, While I know two of you, the other four of you I dont know too much, so why dont you all introduce yourself one by one to me, so one at a time of standing up and introducing yourself and telling me what you do under the regiment of the General? And then the Empress started from the left Deputy General in the first row to stand up and then describe himself to the Empress about himself and what he did for the General...
