I think today Solly and I will go blackberrying then I intend to make some blackberry and apple jam and a blackberry and apple crumble for Simon to go with the clotted cream I bought him yesterday. Am also going to make a mushroom soup for lunch (he can have the crumble whilst he watches the F1 this afternoon) and it will be roast lamb and all the trimmings - including some of the mint jelly I made last week - for dinner tonight. Was hoping to get over to the dog show for the north devon animal ambulance in Barnstaple this afternoon but a leaking stable and flooded pig ark have put pay to that I think.
