I thought I would post my rare find on the site for viewing. It was featured in the July issue of Mustang Monthly in the rare finds column by Jerry Heasley. He actually flew in to video tape it coming out of the barn. I have been trying to get this car for 10 years. The owners father was in the heating & air conditioning business and came to my home to do some repairs. He saw my 1973 Mach 1 and said his son had one of those but it didnt look like that. I knew it had to be a 69 or 70 so I asked if I could see it, and he gave me directions on how to get to it. I found it two or three days later. That was 10 years ago. and it wasnt for sale. I asked about it a couple times per year with no luck. To make a long story short I saw the owners father at the post office earlier this year, He was leaving as I pulled in. I asked if he remembered me and he did. Now in his middle 80s it was time to clean up his property and he told me the Mach 1 was for sale and to make an offer. I asked to see it one more time before I made my offer and I took the pictures that were in the article. Its a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 351 M code 4 speed car. Champagne Gold, with Black interior. It still has 2 of the original Goodyear G70 14 polyglass raised white letter tires and one still holds air. My offer was $500.00. I also offered to the owner that if I ever decided to sell it after it was finished he would have first chance to buy it back. and the deal was made. It came to its new home May 19th. That was a pretty good day for me. I hope you enjoy the story and the pictures.
