I thought I would share a quick story about karma. Karma isnt always a bad word, it can be a beautiful and profound if you believe in it. I pulled into a gas station after leaving work one night, as I pulled up I saw an older man sitting on his motorcycle and I went to the pump furthest from him because bikers always try to start a conversation and I was having a rather awful night and didnt want to talk about bikes or anything else for that matter. As I was getting the fuel I look over and the old man just sits there, not getting gas or anything but his face looked completely defeated. Im not the kind to just go up and talk to someone but I walked over anyway. I asked if anything was wrong or if he was possibly broken down and maybe I could help. He informed me he ran out of gas just getting to the station and he had no money to his name. I handed him $50, I told him to get gas, have a nice meal tonight. He took my hand and said a prayer, I could see he was nearly in tears, as if no one else would have been nice enough to him. No one else stopped to help this little old man, no one else even noticed. We get too caught up in our own lives to pay attention to those around us. Shortly after I took my bike in for regular maintenence, tune up, carb cleaning, etc etc... The man was in the shop, standing behind the register and when I walked in he offered to do all my maintenence for free and even tried to hand me $20 cash back but I politely declined the cash and he took care of my bike. If everyone took the time to do a little bit of good for anyone other than themselves youll see your actions and kindness reflect back onto you. I know this is a lot to read but for anyone who made it this far, take the time to look around you and do something kind to someone else. Fate can be a beautiful and rewarding thing.
