I thought I would start out today with a story about the power of prayer...Happy Saturday! Don’t tell Harrison Okene that God doesn’t answer prayers. He was onboard a tugboat when it capsized in rough seas off the coast of Nigeria. Somehow, Okene survived. He was trapped in the upside-down boat, in total darkness, inside a tiny toilet where there was an air bubble that grew smaller and smaller as the boat slowly sank. He was trapped there for two days in freezing water, waiting to die. But finally, he heard a knocking. He knocked back. Then he saw a light. It was a torch, cutting through the hull. Two divers pulled him to safety. Okene said he still has nightmares, but he doesn’t know what stopped the water from filling that room. But he has an idea. He said, “I was calling on God. He did it. It was a miracle.”
