I thought a lot about the complaints and frustration of many - TopicsExpress

I thought a lot about the complaints and frustration of many Filipinos with the response of the government to the Yolanda aftermath. I believe all of these are valid and can be backed up by the experiences of both victims and volunteers. I also read a lot of suggestions from well meaning Filipinos on how to effectively handle the situation. As I read their proposed solutions, I began to think that there are so many able Filipinos who should be in the different seats of government, not necessarily electoral seats. I personally do not want to work in any government office as I associated the Philippine government and all its offices to corruption and inefficient bureaucracy. I still do not want to work in any government office but I am sure that there are many out there who should be. My heart yearns to see able and well-deserving Filipinos occupy the different seats of government. It is not enough to choose the right president or Mayor. We need the right person in every position. I hope and pray that Christians will rise to the occasion. May we be the catalyst for change in our offices. This is the best time to be a Christian. We cannot just air our disappointments and come late for appointments. We cannot cry for a corrupt free government and cheat on our assignment. We have to better than ourselves. I like how CS Lewis calls this kind of Christianity, he calls it MERE Christianity.
