I thought it was important to encourage people to come to my solo piano gig, the Wednesday Night New Orleans Piano Honkytonk with the fantastically average Dom Pipkin, at the rather wondrous The Griffin Whetstone Whetstone, free, at 8pm tonight (trust me, youll go through the bar and end up in the amazing beer garden. Its lovely. You can hear me when you come back in to order drinks or go to the lav), and to remind folks about the great swing that will happen with my buddy James Evans(on loan from the French Quarter) with the Lapazoos at Nightjar tomorrow. Perhaps even remembering to mention my late night set after the magnificence of Ed Harcourt - late the recipient of the travelling mans blues - but a a trooper and an amazing artist, at The Convent Club Stroud on Friday (a very special night). But no, no .. no no. Far far more important, James Fenn, Jasper Singh, Philippa Venables, Rebecca Pipkin, is the recent discovery of THIS Facebook community.
