I thought this was unnecessary. Quite frankly I could care less about telling a cop that the address on my license is correct. Do I have the time and energy to go through that much hassle over a simple yes or no answer? NO! Was this driver wrong for standing up for his rights? No. Not really. Was this officer out of line and being a bull headed egomaniac? Yes! I watched it all the way to the end. Thats when I clicked on another incident on YouTube. Its the incident I thought I was posting here but it is not. Why is that important? Because the video I thought I was posting shows a cop pull over a vehicle and ends up shooting an unarmed passenger. Did I mention that he shot an UNARMED passenger? TO DEATH. This kind of trigger happy murder has got to stop! I get that the police officer was nervous. He said so. He should have waited for back-up! Since when is it his duty to shoot someone because he is in over his head? Didnt he think the passenger was nervous too? Who wouldnt be nervous? Doesnt this guy realize there are people with disabilities who cannot keep their hands still as he was insisting the passenger do? Yes, there are people with disabilities who for a reason totally out of their control cannot keep their hands still. I am not saying that was the case in this senseless shooting. I have become extremely concerned after I watched a video of a police officer who shot a disabled boy dead because he did not comply. The poor little guy couldnt speak well, like my son who has Down Syndrome. He also did not have a good command of the English language like my little guy who has Down Syndrome. My son is 16 physically but he is more into Sponge Bob Square Pants, Angry Birds and Super Hero Squad than he is anything most boys his age are into. Most boys his age are driving a car. He may never drive a car. Hes the sweetest and most loving person I have ever met. To think that someone may shoot him dead some day because he doesnt understand what they want terrifies me. Yes, I am terrified that some cop will shoot my son dead because he doesnt understand his commands. Now who has become the terrorists in our country? Is that the goal? Is that the message? You better comply with anything and everything i tell you or Ill shoot you dead! Is that what our country is coming to? If youre on the police force and youre that nervous then you need to find a different vocation. You need to make that decision really fast before you do something terrible. Do it before you destroy the lives of innocent people. If youre so nervous you cant keep yourself from murdering an unarmed citizen then you need to do something else for a living. You can still serve. Just be a fireman or paramedic or something that doesnt require you to carry a gun.
