I took Christopher to the schools Open House night to drop off his supplies and meet his teacher. At the start, it was frustrating. The main parking lot was full so I had to go the one of the alternate lots. The class lists were posted ON the doors that you walk through to get inside, so everyone was blocking the entrance trying to read the lists. I finally was able to peek over someones shoulder and found out that his teachers name had been whited out but he was in classroom 25. We finally made our way inside and were told that we could leave the supplies by the lockers in the hallway but the teacher was not yet assigned for the classroom. I was tired and ready to give up so we made our way to the gym for the free ice cream. It turned out that we had to stand in one of three lines that stretched across the room just to get some forms and THEN get the tickets for ice cream, which was another room-stretching line for a tiny-tiny-tiny cup of ice cream. I didnt sign up for that level of frustration. We left. We went to Meijer, where I bought a bottle of vodka and let Christopher pick out his choice of ice cream (1.5 quarts!) while I got one of butter pecan. On the way back home, we stopped at Subway and got foot-long subs with double meat. GOODNIGHT!
