When I lived in London, I learned that Christmas symbols were the same and different--the robin heralded the holidays, holly and ivy were everywhere, and Christmas trees were smaller and more slender than their bigger American cousins. But the spirit was the same. I just saw this wonderful (not often you can say that!) holiday commercial from Sainsbury grocery stores in Britain, courtesy of one of my favorite authors, Jacqueline Winspear.
