I took Ms Bunz to the vet this morning. She gets her teeth trimmed every 4-6 weeks. This time, I had to take her in earlier than expected. All buns are different but I wanted to share her symptoms with the group. When her teeth start to bother her, she will hold food in her mouth for a long time before attempting to chew. She also makes a motion with her mouth that sounds like she is thirsty. And, she will stop eating leafy greens. Instead, she prefers crunchy foods like carrots, celery, parsnip, carrot tops, etc. I usually get her to the vet before these symptoms start but if her teeth grow back early, these are the warning signs. When her teeth first became an issue, I had to take her to 4 different vets before I found one that properly diagnosed the problem. I guess her symptoms were unusual so I wanted to share them with this group. Also, this is a video of the thing she does with her mouth.
