I took the schools brand new Movi M10 home this weekend. As it was bought specifically for you folks in the guerrilla filmmaking class I wanted to get pretty familiar with its setup for us later on. The good news is it can get some truly fantastic shots that would require a full steadicam rig, dollies, jibs, a cable-cam and a trained operators to otherwise achieve. The bad news is it is a complete pain to setup. Every lens adjustment, every fresh battery, literally any change you make requires a recalibration. This recalibration requires a laptop and some patience. But thats okay! I can absolutely see us using it to great effect for some shots in this project.
