I totally didnt think I would be the first one on my thread to post about a Super Bowl commercial... Seeing as I didnt even watch one but after hearing a little Twitter about the Coke commercial, I spent the last 20 minutes on Cokes facebook page reading the insanity that ensued from a multi-lingual singing of America the Beautiful. I cannot believe in 2014 that there is still so much bigotry and racism rampant in this country. We are a nation of immigrants! After my initial shock, I settled into a good laugh seeing how many of these offended individuals referred to America as a country (not a continent), made mention of America the Beautiful being the national anthem, that English is our national language (it isnt), and threatening to switch to Pepsi... Whos CEO is Indian, and owner is Muslim. Not to mention America the Beautiful was written by a well known lesbian. What a mess.
