Yesterday I saw a video of a duch angler, who caught lake Zander - TopicsExpress

Yesterday I saw a video of a duch angler, who caught lake Zander on light float tackle. That gave me the idea of heavy trotting or trotting XXL. My strongest and longest float rod (unnamed, but apparently a Constable of Bromley), a Mordex Major reel, 10lbs main line, a 25g sliding cork float, a bullet weight to keep the depth (approximately between 5 and 8 meters, depending on the tide) a few shot on the 8lbs leader and a size 2 circle hook baited with a dead smelt. What do you think? Traditional approach or too adventurous?
