I totally understand how this teacher feels. I worked in daycare and yes, there were times when the babies would come with dirty clothes on, smelling like urine and sometimes feces, hair not combed, no socks on, and no under garments on. Wed inform our supervisor and theyd take it from there. If the matter didnt get any better, only worse, wed inform CPS. Now, Im a high school teacher, and Ive had to call home to have a conversation with parents because there was some unsavory odors coming from their child. I made sure that I was correct and had the right child before calling. In one case, there was a child in one of my classes that smelled awful and whenever theyd come to class the students was actually moving away from the student as soon as they would sit beside them. Its embarrassing but so true.
