I tried this recently with HUGE success so thought I would share. Did you know if your hubby accidentally puts (or you or a child) your favourite container lid on the bottom shelf of the dishwasher and it warps you can fix it? My lid was so bent it looked like a banana. So I put it into the sink, covered it with water from the kettle and soaked it with a heavy item on top for 5 minutes. I then removed it and put it into a sink with cold fridge water with something heavy on top and then it was all fixed. I have a few containers the lids arent sitting properly from constant use that I am going to do this to and make them like new.
